I have had a lot of fun working with the investment partners and the young startups at the Incubator. Because of the changes in market conditions, last year under my management the Incubator was re-focused on more mature investment opportunities, ventures that needed money and services but not necessarily physical service such as space, phones, computer network and such.

Therefore, after 5 years of successful operations, we (the general and limited partners of Incubator LP) have decided to close the physical location of the Incubator as of the end of February. This move will better serve our sponsored ventures and protect our investors’ investments. We have already closed Fund I and II and are distributing the proceeds from it to the investors and the University.

I will continue to monitor and manage the Fund II portfolio, and I will continue to work with the University of California, Berkeley to capitalize on startup opportunities from the technology zone around the UC Berkeley and in the Bay Area.
